Happy Halloween

My kids awoke with such excitment, as if it were CHRISTMAS...."it's HALLOWEEN...YIPEEEE!!!!!" Ashlee exclaimed as she jumped up and down, clapping her hands swiftly!!!  It was a bit of an off week due to the hurrican...I wasn't able to hit my fave stores for my special appi's...but nonetheless, the traditional Mulvena Halloween was in full affect...I made lot's of food for our company (my mom, aunt, godparents, siblings), and of course, plenty of CANDY!  We actually had alot of kids this year!  All and all it was a good day!

Pumpkins!

Yesterday with Hurrican Sandy reaking havoc on us, the girls were completely preoccupied with crafts and having fun carving pumpkins!

I was in a slump ...not motivated to do a thing...but waking up today, the day 'after' the Hurrican, with work closed yet again, I realized I am very thankful...so I was up and at'em...fleece sheets on all beds, chix and potatoes in the crockpot, pancakes and bacon for breakfast...getting ready to hit the store for my Halloween party w/ the family tomorrow...not sure if the rains will hold off but we'll be ready just in case w/ lots of candy, good food, and plenty of spirits!

Pat's Football Party

Not a great game by the Eagles, but a great time with family and friends...Pat and Amy had a HUGE spread with delish food...what better way to anticipate the arrival of Hurrican Sandy!!

Chilli Cook off/ND Football Party

What a great day to gather for some FUN!  Sean invited a bunch of friends and family over to his house for a chilli cook off and to watch the Irish whip some butt in football...but if you know ME, I don't go for the football...I'm there to mingle...and that I did...we stuffed our faces with 3 types of chilli...tons of appi's and desserts...and of course, beers and wine!
The best part is always the company!!! 

Spa for Ma...

One night the girls wanted to treat me to a special spa day...they had me 'sign in'...they put on some Justin Bieber music, put a warm wash cloth on my forehead (and chest)...cucumbers on my eyes...and lotion to smoothe my ever so tired skin...ahhh...paradise..(now don't chuckle too much at the pics)...

Fall Gathering

Originally we had planned to take the kids to Frightland, but quickly found out that it wasn't quite geared for their ages...so instead I had everyone hang out at our house for some good grub, drinks and fire pit fun!
