...it's a hair-line fracture!  The ortho specialist at AI Hospital confirmed...2-3 weeks in a removable boot to help it heal...she's such a trooper!

Over a month in the making...but us gals finally pulled it off...a nice low key surprise 40th for Jody...a limo, wine tasting, a few stops at 2 local bars for some celebratory shots and then dinner and cake back at my mom's...SO much fun...I think this limo and wine tasting thing could be a reoccurring event!  HAPPY BD JODY!

A great way to end the week...with family!

Swollen!

Poor Ash fell into a hole in the grass while running at a bd party yesterday...she trooped thru the day walking on it so we know it's not broken...however it ballooned up BIG time, so this morn a trip to the med ctr was in order...xrays inconclusive (because of her age, she is still growing and has a "growing plate" which shows up on xrays and hinders if there is a fracture)...they see something that looks like a fracture but can't tell...and since she can walk on it, chances are slim it's broke, I would think...so we wait and see how the week goes...she can walk on it, but no running, etc.  If by Wed the swelling or pain is not down, off to the Ortho we go for a better test.

MGG Benefit

One of my most adored, and favorite organization EVER is the Andrew McDonough, B+ Foundation .  If you never heard of it, click on the link...it's an organization for children who have cancer...founded by Joe McDonough (from DE), whose son died at age 14 after battling Lukemia...it's a wonderful foundation that helps these little kids and their families, stay afloat, and so much more!!!  I always said that if I EVER win the lottery big, a huge chunk will go to them and I can volunteer there.

So, when one of my most FAVE bands will be playing one last time in DE, for this specific benefit...surely I had to get in on that deal...knowing my money is going to a very good cause, and I get to hang out and have fun with friends and family...it's a win/win all around!
