Happy Hr/Pre-Birthday Celli

Rob's bd is Saturday the 30th, but we have a huge HS graduation party to go to that day, so instead we decided to gather @ The Tavern the day before his bd and celebrate HH style...keep in mind, we are officially celebrating his bd yet again at our cousin's pool on July 7th...really...just another reason to gather and have fun!

While shopping at the mall, it's a must to stop by the water fountain and toss a few coins and wish upon a wish...Ash revealed her wish was to ride a unicorn...ah, kids these days...so sweet! 

Lunch Bunch

Now that school is out for Summer...I scramble to find a place to put my kids each day...unfortunately we just can NOT afford Summer camp!  Luckily my work daycare had one week open for them last week...and we get to go out to eat for lunch (in the Sky Cafe) at my work...kids love it...my wallet, not so much!

While at the Christiana Mall last Sunday, we got bombarded by one of those ANNOYING sales ppl at the kiosks in the center of the mall...NORMALLY I walk by them swiftly (because I've been suckered 3 times before) and ignore them, but I had Bella and Haylee with me...and the guy @ Touch of Hollywood played it right by getting the girls attn first...promising to curl their hair for free!!!  What girl wouldn't want pretty curls for free?!  I knew ALL too well the scheme behind it was to sell me some over priced gadget...so he started with curling Haylee's hair and midway thru his sales pitch, he has me buying this $150 'diamond' flat iron...girls were BEGGING me to buy it...gulp...long story short...I'M SUCH A SUCKER!

EAT CAKE

Ok, so if you know me, you know I'm not too big into sweets (TG!)...but for whatever reason, I felt compelled to dig into this last night...Jim and I had a nice dinner on the deck of Chesapeake Inn...so we opted to split this baby...it was delish...ruined my previous work out at the gym...but....oh well...life is too short to skip the good stuff all the time!

Well...They lost...BUT, the experience was great!   Haylee learned ALOT playing in the major leagues...she is very excited to play again in the Fall!

Friday night began the 2 day series...Fri they played an hr and then the game was postponed due to bad weather so it was cont'd Saturday morn...we lost first game but won 2nd game...tie breaker is Sunday...Haylee was SOOO nervous...this was nothing like what she played in with the learning league...this is BIG TIME...they steal bases and she has no idea the rules involved in all that, but she is learning and did is doing very well (scored a hit and stole bases and made it all the way to home base)!  Stay tuned...IF they win today, they go onto the National's in DC mid July...exciting times...

Happy Father's Day!

 Jim went golfing very early, then home for a nice nap...then bonding with girls playing softball while I made a nice dinner for their return..A special day deserves good food, so I grilled kabobs, and we ate in the dining room with our fancy dinnerware and glasses...nice, easy, breezy day...

For the 2nd time this year, Haylee earned HONOR ROLL!!!  We can't say enough on how PROUD we are for her.  Can't believe she is now in 5th grade and this is her LAST year at Wilbur...

Girls' last game

What an excellent season they BOTH had...Haylee really shined!  So, before heading to our vacation, we had one last season game...then the following day, we had to trek BACK home from Dewey, as the girls had their playoff game.  What a great game...it was so HOT, I felt so bad for the kids...esp Haylee, who was pitcher.  We didn't know it at the time, but she was very sick, and never said a word that day...she ended up going to the Dewey Med Ctr on Tuesday and got some strong antibiotic for her sore throat and fever..they lost the playoff game by 2 runs...they did such an awesome job, I was so proud!

VACA

A fun vaca full of friends and family, but yet very complicated and stressful.  Haylee ended up very sick, and we had to hit the medical ctr...and the following day, I ended up at the medical ctr for my ear infection...THEN throw in Haylee's All Stars practices and the running back and forth home and back to beach, and it was surely hectic.  BUT all and all, we had good weather...one day of rain, and 3 very windy days...but end result is the kids had the best time...2 very sad kiddos on the last day...but we plan to make as many day trips as we can this yr!
